Parcel Delivery Scam

I was recently interviewed by Urdu News International to discuss the alarming rise of online phishing scams targeting Pakistani citizens. This interview sheds light on the increasing threat of cyber fraud, particularly phishing attacks, and offers insights on how individuals can protect themselves from such scams.

In the interview, I explained how phishing attacks work, likening them to a baited fishing hook that lures unsuspecting individuals. Scammers often send messages with links that appear to be from legitimate courier services, tricking users into providing personal information. Once these details are shared, scammers can gain access to bank accounts or other sensitive applications.

I emphasized the importance of ignoring suspicious links and messages and advised against sharing personal information online. Additionally, I highlighted the necessity of using strong passwords and enabling two-step verification on mobile applications to enhance cybersecurity.

Furthermore, I discussed how firewalls and web management systems can play a crucial role in preventing online scams. Despite some criticism, these tools are essential for blocking fraudulent websites and links, thus safeguarding users from potential threats.
