Scammers sending fake links to people on the occasion of New Year. Clicking on these links, data and privacy of public may affect. These views were expressed by Cyber Security Expert Muhammad Asad Ul Rahman while talking to the media about the fake links about new year’s gift circulating on social media. In these links, people are lured with free internet and other gifts. When people get lured and click on these links, fake websites open and demand data. When internet users enter their personal information like name, phone number etc. on this website, they are said to share it with their friends. Also, many fake e-commerce websites are created on the occasion of New Year, on which the cheapest New Year sale is posted. People enter their ATM card details there in the lure of cheap stuff. Hackers use these details to withdraw money from people’s bank accounts. Public should neither click on such fake links nor share with others.

نئے سال کے موقع پر سائبر مجرم لوگوں کو جعلی لنکس بھیجنے لگے۔ ان لنکس پر کلک کرنے سے عوام کا ڈیٹا و پرائیویسی متاثر ہو سکتے ہیں۔ ان خیالات کا اظہار سائبر سکیورٹی ایکسپرٹ محمد اسد الرحمن نے نئے سال کے موقع پر گردش کرنے والے جعلی لنکس کے متعلق میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کیا۔انہوں نے کہا کہ نئے سال کے موقع پر سائبر مجرم بذریعہ واٹس ایپ و دیگرسوشل میڈیا لوگوں کونیو ائیر گفٹ کے نام سے جعلی لنکس بھیج رہے ہیں۔ان لنکس میں لوگوں کو مفت انٹر نیٹ و دیگر تحائف کا لالچ دیا جاتا ہے۔ لوگ لالچ میں آکر ان لنکس پر کلک کرتے ہیں تو جعلی ویب سائٹس کھلتی ہیں اور ڈیٹا مانگا جاتا ہے۔ جب انٹرنیٹ صارفین اس ویب سائٹ پہ اپنی ذاتی معلومات مثلاً نام، فون نمبر وغیرہ درج کرتے ہیں تو اسے اپنے دوستو ں کے ساتھ شیئر کرنے کا کہا جاتا ہے۔ علاوہ ازیں نئے سال کے موقع پر کئی جعلی ای کامرس ویب سائٹس بنا لی جاتی ہیں جن پر نئے سا ل کی سستی ترین سیل لگا دی جاتی ہے۔لوگ سستی چیز کی لالچ میں وہاں اپنے اے ٹی ایم کارڈ کی تفصیلات درج کر دیتے ہیں۔ ہیکرز ان تفصیلات کا استعمال کرتے ہوئے عوام کے بینک اکاؤنٹس سے رقم نکال لیتے ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ عوام کو چاہیے کے ایسے جعلی لنکس پر نہ ہی کلک کریں اور نہ ہی دوسروں کے ساتھ شیئر کریں۔
