Rising Cyber Crime and Its Impact on Mental Health
The increasing trend of cyber crimes, particularly cases of blackmail targeting women, has highlighted a growing concern: the mental health impact on victims. Women who fall prey to such crimes often experience significant psychological stress, which has been linked to a disturbing rise in suicide rates among this demographic.
The Role of the Stress Counseling Desk
In response to this urgent issue, Cyber Security of Pakistan is taking proactive measures by setting up a Stress Counseling Desk. The primary objective of this initiative is to provide specialized support to women who are suffering from the mental health effects of cyber crime.
